Q – WHAT IS REMOTE PHOSPHOR? HOW DOES IT WORK?

A – The "yellow lens" that form each cap is made out of phosphor infused plastic. Inside each cap are blue LEDs – the most efficient LEDs in terms of lumens per watt. When the blue LEDs shine against the yellow phosphor it creates white. The segmented cap design also helps with thermal management and allows for omni-directional lighting, just like an incandescent bulb.
